Lead Collection Drop-Off Locations

Easy Ways to Get the Lead Out!

We’re making it simple and convenient for everyone to safely dispose of old lead fishing tackle (sinkers, jigs, weights – any condition!) and switch to lead-free alternatives.  Bring your lead items to any of these drop-off points throughout the season – no questions asked, and you’ll help protect our loons and lakes.

Permanent & Seasonal Drop-Off Spots:

  • At the 4 executive members’ cottages (contact the Drag and Spruce Lakes Executive for exact addresses and to make arrangements – perfect for year-round or off-season drops).
    • Dominique Binckly
    • Rob Norris
    • Suzanne Montgomery
    • Rick Wesselman
  • Directory pickup during the May long weekend – hand in your lead tackle when you grab your new lake directory.
  • All our lake events throughout the summer – we’ll have collection stations set up and ready.

Special Highlight:  Our AGM in July

Bring your lead tackle to the Annual General Meeting for a chance to win prizes in our Lead Swap Contest!  Trade in your old lead for free lead-free samples, enter draws for DSLPOA merchandise, and enjoy the fun while supporting the cause.

All collected lead will be responsibly disposed of to ensure it never re-enters the environment.

Quick Tip:  Clean out your tackle box now – every piece you drop off makes a difference for our wildlife!
