Sailing Day 2014!

8 July 2014 | 0 Comments

SailingDay2014

The June 30th Drag Lake Sailing Regatta was successfully held between storms.  There were favourable winds of 6-10 knots under mostly sunny skies with 11 boats participating.   The race consisted of a triangular course with the competitors racing around the marks – twice.  The Portsmouth Yardstick Handicap system was used to even out the chances of winning. The results were: Tom Platt and Rhonda Jordan in a Hobie 16 in Third place, Rod and Nancy McNair in an Invitation in Second place, and Greg and Rozalynd Platt in a Hobie 18 in First.  A great time was had by all.  Thank you to all who participated and to all who helped throughout the day.
