Yes, it's cold outside. Really cold…

A great time for some informative reading:

  1. FOCA  info – click here
  2. ever heard of phragmites? – click here (now you have)
  3. 'Love Your Lake' update -

    To all C.H.A. Members

As part of the C.H.A.’s massive Shoreline Classification and Restoration Project  (Love Your Lake)  in which more than 50 of our members lakes are participating we are doing all we can to encourage businesses in the County to enhance their services so that they can participate in what we estimate will be a $1.2 Million business opportunity

1.     Shoreline Naturalization Designers

2.     Native Plant Suppliers ( including nurseries and garden centres)

3.     Landscapers to plant the trees, shrubs etc. to fit the plan

In partnership with the Haliburton County Development Corporation (HCDC) and the Haliburton HighlandsChamber of Commerce we are holding an information session in March to provide these companies with details on this opportunity and the environmental standards they need to meet to be listed as a C.H.A. Lake Protectors Service Provider

Do you know of companies that should be contacted re this opportunity?

If so please ask them to contact Lauren Hunter at the Chamber at lauren@haliburtonchamber.com  within the next 2 weeks. Lauren is copied on this email.

This event will be by invitation only

Any questions they have can be answered at that meeting.
