Two additional hazards have been identified and will be marked in the near future. If people are aware of any additional hazards they believe should be marked, please email information to dragandsprucelakes@gmail.com.
NOTE:
From the navigation page,
Caution: This map should not be used as a guide in navigation as it does not show all the various shoals, hazards or other perils which might be present in, on or in the vicinity of the lakes.
For Outlet Bay specifically, this means that buoys were placed on SOME of the shallow obstructions in Outlet Bay in the general area of which many (not all) boaters use to navigate the waterway between Drag Lake and the Spruce Lake narrows. These buoys DO NOT indicate in any way a marked channel. Some boaters may want to use them as waypoints for their navigation through the channel. In no way however, does the Navigation Committee recommend the distance to stay from the buoys or which side you should pass them on. Due to the many unmarked hazards and low water in this area it is imperative that every boater make their own route and know what is beneath them.
