Dear Drag & Spruce Lakes Property Owners Association,
My name is Tessa Latchmore and I am a graduate student in the School of Environmental Studies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, under the supervision of Dr. Anna Majury. We are currently working on a research project associated with private groundwater drinking sources; i.e. well water. This project aims to understand knowledge regarding private well water use and stewardship, with the aim to develop a knowledge-based tool intended for use by private well owners, including cottage owners.

Yes, spring really is here now, and it’s that time of year when TSW fills up all the reservoir lakes, including Drag and Spruce. Given the whims of nature there is a lot of unpredictability through this process. It is well worth while keeping an eye on what’s happening – there can be significant impacts on shoreline infrastructure.
