County of Haliburton Climate Action Engagement

4 November 2022 | 0 Comments

 FROM HALIBURTON COUNTY:

“The County is developing a community-wide plan to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for a changing climate. This second engagement is intended to determine community support for the proposed draft actions within the County of Haliburton and its local municipalities’ control or influence and to further gauge the level of ambition for climate targets. By participating, you get to provide input on community-scale opportunities for change over the next eight years.

To participate, visit: haliburtonclimate2.ethelo.net

If you submit your survey between now and November 30th, you can be entered into a draw to win a FoodCycler!

Thank you in advance for your participation in the survey. We look forward to receiving your feedback.”

Milfoil assistance required

12 October 2022 | 0 Comments
Is there someone on Drag Lake who is willing to taxi a Trent University student over to the EWM outbreak off Harris beach so she can take samples?
The days she's available are this Friday and Monday. If we miss this window, it's likely the milfoil will go dormant and samples will no longer be viable.
