Great news for staying informed locally!
The Highlander has just launched a news and information app for Haliburton County. It delivers reliable, fact-checked local updates, breaking news alerts (road closures, school cancellations, etc.), and important community info directly to your phone—with no comment sections to wade through. They also produce an excellent podcast as another strong community information source.
A quick note on our focus:
As always, DSLPOA’s primary role is advocating for Drag and Spruce Lakes property owners on lake-specific issues (water quality, access, fish lead-free, taxes, etc.).
Please note: Posts that are not directly related to Drag/Spruce Lakes or DSLPOA business will be edited or removed to keep our focus tight. There are many worthwhile Haliburton County community topics and excellent alternative channels (including all local press) to stay broadly informed.
