2025 EWM Monitoring & Control

Bob Heyes and Jim Miners of our EWM Working Group have checked all of our known EWM outbreaks. Their observations are shown in the table below with the plan for monitoring and control this year.

Come out and experience the Drag and Spruce Lakes Sailing Regatta
Date: Saturday August 2
Rain Date: Sunday August 3
Register: 12:30 PM
Race Start: 1:00 PM
Location: Start and Finish is from Sand Point

Details:
- Portsmouth Yardstick handicap system used
- For light winds (3-10 knots), race around the course once
- For heavy winds (10+ knots), race around the course twice (announced at race time)
- Sign the waiver electronically before the race
- Please ensure you have required minimum safety equipment.

Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that the County of Haliburton is located on Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory, and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which are Curve Lake, Rama, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Beausoleil and Georgina Island First Nations.
