We have been informed that several of our association members have received phishing emails from scammers pretending to be one of the executives. We take information security very seriously and ask that you also be vigilant in order to prevent fraud. The source of the phishing email is likely a compromised email account of one of the association members.
Here are a few precautions to take:
- Confirm the sender’s identity before replying to email requests and before opening attachments or clicking on links, even if they appear to come from a legitimate source.
- Notify us at dragandsprucelakes@gmail.com to validate communications originating from the executive that appear to be suspicious.
