The annual Drag Lake sailing regatta was held on Saturday August 3rd. We had a nice turnout of 7 boats ranging from lasers to Hobie cats. The wind conditions were quite variable, challenging the racers to adapt. After adjusting for handicaps, the results were as follows:
- In first place, we had Greg Platt, Zoe Platt and Kayla Langon in a Hobie 16
- John Willkes and Kurt placed second in their Laser 11
- Bruce Freeman and Cash Freeman placed third in their Laser
- Peter Freeman and Bea Freeman were fourth in a Laser
- Madelaine Plat, Bennet Brule and Frankiesha placed fifth in a Hobie 18
- Les Gondar placed sixth in his Hobie Tandem Island
- Rod and Nancy McNairn sailed a great race in their Invitation, but missed the first buoy and ended up in 7th place
