EWM Grant and Fundraising News

15 July 2024 | 0 Comments
In the spring of this year the Invasive Species Centre announced that funding for invasive species projects would be available through the MNR funded Invasive Species Action Fund. The DSLPOA submitted an application and we were informed recently that we have been awarded a $2,500 micro grant to Improve the Management of Large EWM Outbreaks and Enable Control of Small Outbreaks by Owners. Adding the grant to our EWM Fund will bring the fund total to just over $45,000, enough to cover 2024 Dive Week expenses and begin to grow the fund for 2025 activities.
Thanks again to all who have made a donation since last summer. To those who have yet to donate, our ability to continue our work next summer depends on your contribution. Visit the EWM Information at the left side of this page to remind yourself why this work is important and to make your donation.

2024 Dive Week begins today. Our commercial dive team arrives tomorrow and will be joined on the water by Bob Heyes and a host of volunteers. Daily progress reports will be posted on our Facebook page,
