Found – Overturned Boat (plus see update below)

16 June 2015 | 0 Comments

Please see notice received – pass on the message if you know the owner:

"an over turned fiber glass boat was found June 14 in the Spruce Lake – Drag River narrows

Sea Ray – cream and red fiber glass with chrome trim

tied to north shore near Clive cottages

please come and retrieve

….thx Merla

Merla Russell"

UPDATE: (from a very knowledgeable resident)

"That particular boat has been capsized in the water for the past two or three years. I think because the water was so high a few weeks back it became dislodged. It was on the left side back in that bay before you head into Spruce Lake).

Perhaps the thought or message should be …. Please don't leave your garbaged boats in the lake."

Anyone interested in a boat salvage (and lake clean up) opportunity…?

Missing Road Signs
Over the weekend a couple road signs have been removed.  If this happens in your area they can be reported to the county for replacement.  The number to call is (705)286-1333 and ask for Rob.  It often takes a couple weeks depending on the volume to be done but I was reassured that all the 911 services work on GPS and don't depend on street signs. Hope you had a wonderful long weekend.  See you at the AGM on Sunday June 28th.

Shoreline Classification and Restoration Project - we have received word that the information about your individual properties should be mailed out by mid June.  If there are any changes we will update you on the website.
